The harp is one of the biggest of all string instruments. And although it looks solid, it is actually hollow. There are three basic forms of harp: bowed, angle, and frame. Each kind, depending on size, weighs around 125 pounds. Typically, harps are played with the fingertips, although some are played with the fingernails.
Harps have anywhere from 44 to 47 strings that vibrate on a sound board of the harp to make its beautiful melody. Most of the harps offered here are intended for playing, although they also make a beautiful home decor item.
